    Carmel Center is the vision of the Druze woman Raja Case Mansur. Raja wants to show the Israeli and local public the exclusive Druze culture, the story of Isfiya over the last 100 years, Jewish-Druze relations since before the establishment of the state until now. The personal stories of the village pioneer as well as the status of women in the Druze family and their progress over the years. A visit to the center is an enjoyable experience accompanied by explanations and nostalgic stories about village life and includes an impressive display of authentic tools and elements from the daily life of the residents in the region in the past and the present. At the center, you can ask anything you want know about the Druze and the Druze woman´s status over a cup of coffee. A tour of the ancient quarter of Isfiya. See the historical sites of the village of Isfiya. Visit the ancient olive press that is located in a cave. The olive press is situated in a cave in order to preserve the quality of the oil and all the olive oil production tools. The pressing stone still remains in the ancient cave. It turns on an axle attached to a large rod, which is attached to an animal that turns the stone. Under the pressing stone sits the stone beam (the “bad” in Hebrew) and this is where the nameBeit Bad (olive press) stems from. The guide Noaal will provide an explanation about the past and present olive oil industry which is quite an experience. It is also possible to receive an explanation about the olive oil soap production and olive pickling processes. And of course, you can also experience turning the stone beam. The olive press is surrounded by a courtyard and garden containing the seven species overlooking the breathtaking view stretching from the Carmel Mountains, Haifa, and Haifa Bay to Mt. Hermon. The tours are for a fee and by prior registration. Visiting is allowed throughout the week, including Fridays and Saturdays.
