Here in the Hula Valley, which is in the Syrian African rift valley, the JNF has developed an
ornithological spot, unique in the world. Over this area twice a year, no less than 500 million birds, migrate- waterfowl, birds of prey, and song birds from 390 different species.
Here you can watch birds on their way from Europe to Africa, watch Water Buffalo (and if you stay the night swamp cats going out to hunt), enjoy the unique flora and fauna and take part in a bird-ringing workshop. In order not to harm the ecological balance of the site, entrance with private transport is not allowed. You may tour the park on foot, bike, golf carts, and safari wagon or on the bird’s train. The train leaves regularly and stops at appointed spots, allowing you to alight and return on the next train.
